Research & Help Build the Nation of Makers
Who is this level for?
Any maker leader that wants to engage with and support Nation of Makers through volunteerism at their local micro community level (i.e. your personal network of makers)
Anyone who is or wants to be a Nation of Makers member organization
Anyone who wants to become a NoM Connector or Representative
Goals/Benefits for each Advocate:
Learn about Nation of Makers
Connect with other NoM Advocates, Connectors and Representatives
Identify spaces, organizations, and partners in your local area
Participate in Nation of Makers’ all-community calls
Encourage other organizations to join NoM and NoM projects
Be recognized for your advocacy work!

Engage: Fill out this form to indicate your interest in becoming an Advocate
Engage: Encourage other organizations to join NoM and NoM projects, such as the Annual Survey of Makerspaces
Within Three Months:
Learn: History of Nation of Makers (hyperlink to be added)
Engage: Opt in to the NoM newsletter
Engage: Opt in to the NoM Slack channel (email: info@nationofmakers.us and we’ll add you)
Engage: Like and follow our NoM Facebook page
Engage: Like and follow our Twitter account
Engage: Like and follow our Instagram account

Learn: NoM Advocacy one-pager
When complete, take the NoM Advocate Quiz (it will be sent to you after you fill out the application to be an advocate)
Within Six Months:
Identify spaces, organizations, and partners in your local area.
Map your network - Resource: Network Template (duplicate the template, then title the new file “Last Name_City_State_Network”, and make sure to save it to the NoM Advocate folder)
Once you’ve completed the NoM Advocate Quiz, we will follow up with our NoM Advocate badge and some NoM goodies!
