The Michigan Science Center has hosted a daily "ECHO Live!" science program for our virtual audience every day since our building shut down due to COVID-19 in March. In honor of the National Week of Making, Monday through Thursday, we will have a different "Making" themed episode of ECHO Live! at 2:30 PM Eastern.

Viewers can join in through the Michigan Science Center YouTube channel or Facebook page and interact with our presenter live in real-time through the comments feature to answer and ask questions. All episodes will feature maker-themed programming and activity suggestions for experiments or projects students can try at home.

Episode 40: Manufacturing Hand Sanitizer – MiSci will speak to an industry expert about how hand sanitizer is being manufactured at an industrial level for health care workers, and then teach viewers how to safely make their own sanitizer at home using three simple ingredients.
